We are looking for a passionate, dynamic, and experienced People Manager as a full-time addition to our team. This newly created position will be pivotal to ensure every single “mediasmarter” lives up to the company values, and that the vision of the business is properly communicated both across the organization and to potential candidates. The People Manager will be the main HR contact across mediasmart and will report directly to the CEO, working very closely with the leadership team and the rest of the employees for the development of their maximum potential.

Summary of the Role
The People Manager will support the development of talent throughout the company and manage the full employee lifecycle in collaboration with the team managers, to help each of our employees reach their maximum potential within the organization and ensure the work environment reflects the company values.
The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced People Manager, used to managing a team, ideally from a support-based function. You will be passionate about management and enjoy working closely with people to get the best from them. Alongside the background in management, you will also see the bigger picture, and be able to work strategically to support the leadership team. You must also be a confident communicator, equally comfortable giving positive feedback as well as having more difficult conversations where required.

Champion and continually reinforce our culture, ensuring all employees are aware of our ideals and associated desired behaviours
Work with senior management to create and implement a long-term Culture Strategy to encourage further inclusivity, connection and understanding of the team
Hold responsibility for all employee relations matters (including supporting and guiding managers on all disciplinary matters), maintain all employee records, and work with our external payroll agency to ensure all documents and policies are in line with current legislation and best practices
Provide strong but supportive management to the team, ensuring the smooth running of teams and support to team managers, including individual development and succession planning
Oversee recruitment, interviewing and hiring of new staff
Review and update existing onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure every employee has the best experience whether they are joining or leaving
Lead employee engagement & happiness: implement a variety of people focussed initiatives (e.g. Team Building & Personal Development) and establish effective mechanisms for employee feedback
Support and develop the current employee review process: assist in the implementation of OKR’s, training and development & champion excellent people management practices
Work with the marketing team to review and maintain effective internal communications and engagement channels
Manage internal tools such as Affle Connect and Mi Registro Laboral for reporting
Identify areas for improvement and work with senior management to implement changes as and when required
The candidate must be fluent in English, both oral and written, as this is a common language across the organization
5+ years of experience as an HR generalist or a management position in a support function
Experience in developing the HR function within a high-growth international environment
Highly professional with a strong commercial focus, project management experience and evidence of facilitating business growth through your role
A true people person who can help celebrate the wins, whilst learning from mistakes and keeping the team at the forefront of decisions
Experience working in an agile, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with the ability to lead and adapt in a changing business environment
Analytical, curious, goal-oriented. A problem-solver who is proactive and not satisfied until effective solutions are found
Strong orientation to detail, with an ability to collect and organize data, understand the results and communicate them effectively
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
