    #NewHireDiaries: New Faces, Fresh Perspectives

    At mediasmart, growth is about more than business, it's about people. As we welcome new team members from across regions and roles, we’re constantly reminded of the power of perspective, learning, and culture. We asked a few of our newest colleagues to share their journey so far. Here’s what they had to say, in their own words.



    We begin with Mayank Harsora, who reflects on the start of his journey in our engineering team:
    Mayank“My journey at mediasmart as an SDET has been great so far. From the very beginning, the onboarding, training, and guidance have all been smooth and well-structured. The team is incredibly supportive, and the work culture makes it easy to enjoy what I do. I’ve also found the advertising domain really interesting—there’s so much to explore and learn every day. I genuinely feel like I’m growing here, not just in my role, but as a professional. Excited for what’s ahead!"

    From product to people, growth is a common theme. Germán García Pozo, our People Manager, shares how his first nine months at mediasmart have been both a learning experience and an opportunity to shape culture.

    Germán“Over the past nine months at mediasmart, I’ve had the opportunity to dive into the AdTech industry for the first time, rapidly expanding my knowledge in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Working with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds (including India, Argentina, and Brazil) has enriched my professional experience. During these months, I have focused on understanding the different processes and the ways of working within the company's structure. Now, I would like to work on improving the employee life cycle by actively collaborating with the different business units and teams across the organization. As the company continues to grow, I see exciting opportunities for both personal and professional development.”


    That spirit of curiosity is also something Eduardo Mora, Associate Sales Director in Mexico, brings with him from over 14 years in the digital advertising industry:

    Eduardo“With over 14 years in the digital advertising industry, I’ve had the chance to explore everything from the most foundational aspects to highly complex challenges. Along the way, I discovered that what drives me most is the excitement of learning, whether it's mastering operational intricacies or diving into creative strategies, I’ve always seen how everything is interconnected.
    Since joining mediasmart three months ago, it’s been a journey filled with information, challenges, and discovery, all of which keep me deeply engaged. Even though we’re spread across different parts of the world, there’s always something to learn and apply, which is exactly what I love most. Meeting talented, warm, and thoughtful people has only reinforced how a great company is built, not just on technology, but on its people"

    For Disha Dhawan, who stepped into mediasmart as Assistant Manager – Brand Solutions, the adtech world was completely new, but so was the energy.

    Disha“It’s been just over three months since I joined mediasmart, but the exposure and opportunities for growth have made it feel like I’ve been here much longer. Coming from a different industry, adtech was a whole new ballgame for me — but being surrounded by driven and supportive people has made all the difference.
    What stands out the most is the vibrant culture — one that genuinely encourages curiosity, collaboration and conversation, whether it's with teammates across the room or across the globe. I look forward to continuing on my learning curve at mediasmart, and while I’m at it, mastering the many acronyms there are to memorise: DSP, SSP, CPM… I’m slowly getting there and I’m confident it’s going to be a fun ride!”

    In Southern Europe, Björn Baumgärtner, our new Sales Director, shares what it’s been like to rejoin the AdTech world—this time from the DSP side.

    Bjorn“3 months into my role as Sales Director for Southern Europe, I can share a bit of my experience at mediasmart. Having worked in the programmatic space since 2011, this is my first time on the DSP side of the business. And on top if that, an Adtech company with 100% Spanish DNA. I've thoroughly enjoyed stepping into such a mature team, where many colleagues have been here for a long time. This, along with the great atmosphere between teams, is a clear sign of a positive environment. I especially enjoy coming into the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
    My ramp-up was smooth thanks to a personalized training guide. This included a comprehensive review of internal tools, sales pitches for each ad product, and a series of 1:1 meetings with colleagues from the Madrid office, covering various roles, but also gave me the chance to connect with colleagues globally. This helped me understand mediasmart's ecosystem and the broader businesses within the Affle Group. It was truly surprising to see the scale of our global operations.
    All in all, I'm very happy to be back in the Adtech space and to be partnering again with Pablo Goya, with whom I previously worked at Yahoo. We have a very interesting project ahead of us: re-establishing the mediasmart brand with agencies and clients in Spain and the rest of Europe, and help them activate their campaigns with an omnichannel approach.”

    Across different regions, backgrounds, and specialties, one thing unites these voices: a shared appreciation for the people, the purpose, and the potential at mediasmart. We’re thrilled to have them onboard—and excited to see how each of their journeys unfolds.
